Airport Reflective Beads are not ordinary reflective glass beads.  Our type 3 airport beads are approved by the FAA and the ICAO and specifically designed to be very bright. So bright that they are used at airports to make painted lines reflective, thus helping aircraft pilots land safely.  This high level of retro-reflectivity is made possible through the use of virgin glass, and a high tech manufacturing process that results in a high index Type III bead with a 1.93 refractive index.  This simply means that our Airport Type 3 beads return a maximum amount of light making them the brightest and most durable bead on the market.

For artists and crafters, Airport Beads provide a component that is second to none in brightness and clarity.  To use this product simply sprinkle liberally over wet paint or glue and then remove any excess back to your container when the paint is dry.  Retro-Reflective Glass Beads must be partially exposed to reflect.  So sprinkle on top only.

As long as the beads are distributed on top, any coating can be made reflective.  Some crafters use various paints, while others use white or clear glue.  The only limitation to what you can do with these amazing little beads is your imagination.  A few examples are, integrating reflectivity into arts and crafts, making house numbers reflective,  and making painted lines reflective.
